Right Place - Right Time for Photos!

With a camera in just about every device we own these days it is so much easier to be in the right place at the right time and grab those unique photos.  So, we thought we would setup a Flickr Group for people to share their candid travel photos.

This is not about being the best photographer (although many of the photos we receive are staggering - see a Year in Travel Photo Essay from Shannyn Higgins) nor is it about having the best technology.  Rather the Travel Generation Flickr Group is about being in the right place at the right time to catch a quintessential travel photo.

Regularly we will feature some of the favourites on the site here.

Today just received this series of photos from Haylee in Queenstown of a Hot Air Balloon from the Sunrise Ballooning company coming to land over Lake Hayes.

Hot Air Balloon over Lake Hayes, Queenstown - New Zealand: from travelgeneration Flickr group

Picture 1 of 5

This series was taken by Haylee on an amazingly clear Central Otago winters day over Lake Hayes, Queenstown. The air was so cool that the lake was steaming and the coloured hot air baloon just stood out so starkly against the blue ski and brown landscape.
