Anna Jura Profile and Posts

Anna Jura

Anna is a 100% Aussie mongrel. With South African, Polish, English and Scottish blood she spent many of her younger years annoying passengers on long-haul flights to visit relatives.

Her love of independent travel arose from a 10 week exchange in Germany at the age of 16 and she hasn't looked back since. At Sydney University she supposedly studied psychology but actually spent most of the time researching her next destination. Study was interspersed with travel for 4 years including three months on the trail in South East Asia and a three month stint working in London (plus little side trips to Morocco and South Africa.)

After graduating Europe came knocking so she set off on a 9 month odyssey, from two months car camping in the Spanish summer to rolling about in the Finnish snow in winter (and everything inbetween). Now she works in her home town of Sydney in the suburb with the greatest name in the world, Woolloomooloo. Somehow she landed one of the few paying jobs in the travel industry and now happily does the marketing for Backpacking Queensland and PR for California Tourism.

Anna enjoys long walks on the beach, reading 15th century Bulgarian poetry and talking about herself in the third person.

Currently she has 13 people following her on Twitter which she feels is somewhat embarrassing but she doesn't care because the only fact that matters is that she got tickets to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa!

See you on the road!
